This past year has been an amazing lesson in life. There have been many highs and lows, but I wouldn’t trade this experience for anything. The joys of accomplishing goals for Lynwood far outweigh the sleepless nights and stressful days. However, collectively our future is so bright. For what’s to come is better than what’s been.

Black, Latino, and Native American organizations form a consortium to address alcohol-related harm in the U.S.
The Multicultural Consortium for Responsible Drinking (MCRD), a working group focused on increasing awareness on the risks of alcohol-related harm and providing education in diverse communities across the country, launched with the support of Diageo North America and leading Black, Latino, and Native American organizations. In its initial phase, members of the MCRD met in Washington, DC, to establish a framework aimed at developing a national public awareness program to reduce the impact of alcohol misuse in communities of color.

ComEd Launches Second Annual Summer Solstice Photo Contest
ComEd is celebrating the start of summer by inviting photographers of all skill levels to compete for prizes in its Summer Solstice Photo Contest. Entrants can submit photos of sunrises and sunsets through the Summer Solstice on June 21. The solstice marks the official start of summer and produces the most sun - light of any day in the year. South Suburban College (SSC) celebrated the first graduating class from its Barber College on Wednesday, May 18, 2022.
