THE MUSICAL, BAYSIDE! THE MUSICAL and KATDASHIANS comes the “unauthorized parody” of the 90’s TV cult-classic, “Beverly Hills, 90210,” playing September 13 - 17, 2017.
Navy Pier’s Fifth Third Bank Centennial Celebration will be highlighted by Lakefront Swing, a centennial celebration of jazz greats Ella Fitzgerald, Dizzy Gillespie and Lena Horne at 7:30 p.m. at the Lake Stage. The free, live music concert will feature a lineup of world-class performers, including Chicago-natives Felicia Fields, the accomplished actress and vocalist known for her 2005 Broadway debut as Sofia in The Color Purple and E. Faye Butler, decorated theater actress and singer, alongside Grammy Award-nominated trumpeter Victor Garcia – all of whom will perform in tribute to the jazz legends who have inspired their own professional artistry. The entire production will be directed by international icon Fred Nelson III, Aretha Franklin’s music director and former opening act for Ray Charles.

performances during its 27th annual summer festival World.

Created Equal tells the story of Alejandra “Allie” Batista (Edy Ganem), a nun who is desperate to become a priest in the Catholic Church. She turns to Thomas Reilly (Aaron Tveit), a successful lawyer who files suit against the Archdiocese of New Orleans for sex discrimination without justifiable cause.

This year’s broadcast marks 17 years of unexpected performances, trailblazing moments, super dope talent, and entertainment’s most provocative players. The iconic show continues to be a cultural rule breaker steeped in reinvention with some of the most memorable moments in Award show history.
The HSE program helps students develop the skills required to pass the High School Equivalency Exams while the curriculum includes courses in language arts, writing, reading, social studies, science, mathematics, and the U.S. and Illinois Constitutions.
The festival will be hosted by the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events (DCASE), and is set to display four stages of live
performances by Chicago’s vast jazz talent.
