Each day the program will begin with the Drum Call at 12:00 NOON, and open with the Kwanzaa Ritual, and an explanation
of the Principle for the day. The goal of the collaboration is to increase public participation in practice and understanding of
the Kwanzaa celebration, and to bring families together to honor our Ancestors, become grounded in our history and
to celebrate our collective achievement as an Afrikan People.

Interns will begin training in November 2017 on The Quad stages and locations around Atlanta, GA. There will be two internship cycles, each one providing exposure to writing, producing, cinematography, production design, location management, costume design, hair and make-up applications, and the grip and electric departments.

Circle of Sisters remains the largest EXPO in New York City that celebrates and unites women of color. During an upcoming annual presentation of Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker, Hyde Park School of Dance (HPSD) will display several genres of dance including ballet, modern
and hip hop. The performance will feature more than 175 dancers—from seven-year-olds to grandparents—supported by more than 100 volunteers. Performances are December 8–10 at Mandel Hall on the University of Chicago campus, 1131 E. 57th Street, Chicago.
