Ladies of Virtue Celebrates 10 Years

Ladies of Virtue (LOV), a Chicago- based non-profit established to create excellent programming and mentorship for African American girls, will host their annual fundraiser, “Leading with Virtue,” on Saturday, Nov. 13. The event will take place virtually once again, with the program beginning at 11:30 a.m. CST, followed by a VIP interview and performance at 12:30 p.m. CST with Grammy Award winning artist, Chrisette Michele. However, more Black (49%) and Hispanic (47%) parents were “very worried” about their child contracting the virus than white parents (33%).

Chandra Blumberg always wanted to be a writer. She started writing at a young age. She was writing non-fiction essays about motherhood and when the pandemic shutdown happened, she wanted to switch gears. She wanted to write something that was an escape from her daily life.
