Culinary Excellence and Compassion Unite: 2024 Taste of Hope Raises Over $746,000 to Help End Cancer
CHICAGO – The American Cancer Society (ACS) proudly announced another milestone success at the 11th Annual Taste of Hope event which took place at Chicago's iconic Navy Pier Grand Ballroom. With over 800 guests in attendance, the event raised an impressive $746,000 and counting, fueling ACS’s mission to end cancer as we know it for everyone.
Taste of Hope has become a staple for Chicago’s culinary community, bringing together top chefs, cocktail artisans, and wine experts for an evening of fine dining, compassion, and impactful fundraising. This year’s event featured a record-breaking 34 restaurants, cocktail, and wine tasting stations, setting a new standard for the event's culinary showcase. Notable co-title sponsors ADM and Kemper played a significant role, joining ACS in its commitment to transforming lives through research, patient support, and cancer prevention.
“Seeing over 800 supporters join together, sampling Chicago’s finest food and drink offerings while rallying for a world without cancer, is truly inspiring,” said Grace Quinn, Senior Development Manager, Distinguished Events at the American Cancer Society. “The outpouring of support reminds us of the power we have as a community to drive real change.”
Since its inception, Taste of Hope has raised more than $4.3 million to advance the American Cancer Society’s life-saving mission. This year’s contributions come at a crucial time. According to the 2024 Cancer Statistics report, while overall cancer mortality has declined, the incidence of six of the top ten cancers is increasing, with the projected number of new cancer cases now exceeding 2 million annually. The continued support of the Chicago community is essential in funding groundbreaking research and providing critical patient services.
