South Suburban Creative Strategist Vanessa Abron to Host Two-Part Autumn Visibility Series for Entrepreneurs and Small Business Owners

Events at EOS House and Beyond the Book will offer an intimate look at building visibility and meaningful business partnerships

Vanessa Abron, a South Suburban resident, marketing professional, and creative strategist, is hosting two events in Homewood, Illinois, for entrepreneurs and small business owners on how to increase their visibility and build valuable partnership connections. The events, “What Visibility Really Takes” and “The Currency of Connection,” will take place at EOS House and Beyond the Book, respectively, both located in downtown Homewood.

For many small business owners, visibility can feel like a constant demand to create more content, post more often, network more aggressively, and find new ways to get noticed. But being visible is only part of the equation. Knowing how to build credibility, create meaningful opportunities, and turn attention into relationships that can actually support a business over time is where the real work begins.

That’s the thinking behind Abron’s two-part “Autumn Visibility Series.” Rather than offering another broad conversation about marketing or social media, the series brings the strategic thinking used by major brands into a setting designed specifically for local entrepreneurs and small business owners. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn how visibility and public relations can work at their scale, how relationships can become valuable business assets, and what they can do differently to create opportunities for their businesses.

Noting the growing rise of entrepreneurship and small business ownership within the South Suburban area, Abron is bringing forward professional knowledge developed over 20-plus years working with brands including McDonald’s, Netflix, Paramount Pictures, National Geographic, and Hilton. The two-part “Autumn Visibility Series” scales that same brand-side strategy down to a size that works for local entrepreneurs and small business owners.

“As a small business owner myself, and having spoken with so many other small business owners, I’ve realized I take a lot of this knowledge for granted, because I use it every day,” said Abron. “But after talking with rising entrepreneurs and professionals, especially here in the South Suburbs, I saw how important and impactful it would be to bring a conversation series like this directly to our community. Unlike a typical event where you just listen to someone lecture and walk away, this is going to be an intimate, Q&A-driven conversation, where people can come in with real questions and get them answered on the spot.”

Each ticket includes a complimentary copy of Abron’s book, Public Relations for Influencers & Content Creators, giving attendees a practical resource they can continue using after the events.

“Don’t let the title fool you,” Abron added. “I’ve had small business owners tell me how valuable this book was for them, even though they’re not influencers or content creators in the traditional sense. We’re also in a landscape where business owners are increasingly being asked to act like content creators themselves, just to spread the word about what they do. This book, and these events, speak directly to that shift.”

“EOS House exists to give women and entrepreneurs in the South Suburbs a space to build, connect, and be seen,” said Florence Hardy, founder of EOS House. “Partnering with Vanessa on this event felt like an obvious fit; this is exactly the kind of programming our community has been asking for.”

“When Vanessa brought this idea to me, it felt like a natural extension of everything we’re already doing here,” said Tenia Davis, founder of Beyond the Book. “I’m excited to host a conversation that gives our local entrepreneurs and small business owners real, usable tools they can walk away with.”
