Athletes, Artists, Volunteers and More Join Michelle Obama’s When We All Vote to Register Thousands of Voters Across the Country

Launching Ahead of National Voter Registration Day under the theme ‘Together,’ When We All Vote’s National Voter Registration Week of Action will Ensure Thousands of Americans are Registered and Ready to Vote

Washington, DC: Today, When We All Vote, Michelle Obama’s national, nonpartisan voting initiative, kicked off their National Voter Registration Week of Action to get thousands of Americans registered and ready to vote. With less than 50 days until Election Day and some states’ voter registration deadlines approaching in early October, When We All Vote is turning National Voter Registration Day on September 17 into an entire Week of Action from September 16-22. In addition to events and activations throughout the week, volunteers will host 100 voter registration drives across the country to get their communities registered.

On Tuesday, National Voter Registration Day, When We All Vote will transform the sold-out Atlanta Dream vs. Chicago Sky WNBA game into a full voter registration push featuring voting activations, a special video message and a new merch collaboration. When We All Vote will also launch a voter registration tour of Georgia schools with Hoop Bus to ensure eligible young people are registered to vote. Online, When We All Vote will present live DJs throughout the day on Twitch featuring Questlove and DJs from Mix4Change.

“At When We All Vote, we know our future is up to us. We can’t just talk about the changes we want to see in the world around us, we have to vote about it. And that all starts with getting registered,” said Beth Lynk, Executive Director of When We All Vote. “Voting is the moment, and with more than 40 million Gen Zers eligible to vote this November, this is their moment. That’s why When We All Vote’s network of Co-Chairs, Ambassadors, partners and volunteers are coming together to reach millions of Americans and ensure our communities are registered and ready to vote.”
