100 Black Men of Chicago, Inc., Host 22nd Annual College Scholarship Fair

Free Registration for Students and Parents with 120 Colleges and Universities across the U.S invited to participate


CHICAGO, IL – October 16, 2024 - The 100 Black Men of Chicago, Inc. (100 BMC) host their 22nd Annual College Scholarship Fair (CSF) on Saturday, October 19, 2024, from 9am to 2:00pm at the Isadore and Sadie Dorin Forum, 725 W. Roosevelt Rd., Chicago, IL 60608.


Registration is free and open to all high school juniors and seniors, who are invited to bring their high-school transcripts, college entrance exam scores, letters of recommendation, personal essays and resumes. This year’s CSF will also have several workshop sessions focused on financial literacy, navigating college life, applying for college and scholarships, HBCU highlights, Greek Life, and other college focused topics. Over the years the 100 BMC CSF has become the preeminent event of its kind in the Midwest, resulting in over $20 million in student scholarships. Each year the event attracts hundreds of colleges and universities, with attendance each year of around five thousand plus students, parents, teachers, and partners in education. Students come from Chicago, and surrounding suburbs, and beyond, including downstate Illinois, Michigan, Wisconsin, Indiana, Ohio, Missouri, and as far as Florida. Recruiters from a variety of higher education institutions (Ivy League, Military Academies, Public, Private, Liberal, Jesuit Catholic, and HBCU’s) attend each year. At past CSF events, many students have been accepted on the spot and some have received partial and full tuition scholarships.


The 100 BMC works diligently to enhance the lives of area youth and their families. The 100 BMC also provide on-going educational training programs, mentoring, tutoring, student scholarships, and economic empowerment seminars through the help of volunteers, community, and corporate partners


Since its inception in 1994, 100 Black Men of Chicago, Inc., a not-for-profit organization, has taken on the mission to help improve the quality of life and enhance educational opportunities for young students throughout the Greater Chicago area. Their mission is achieved through mentoring programs which focus on their “Four for the Future” community outreach initiative which comprise education, health and wellness, and economic development.
