LEADERSHIP OF TRANSITION TEAM
AS CLERK-ELECT GORDON PREPARES TO TAKE THE OATH OF OFFICE,
A FULL-SCALE TRANSITION TEAM WILL BE LED BY TOP LEADERS THROUGHOUT THE STATE OF ILLINOIS
(Chicago, IL) Monica Gordon- Current Cook County Commissioner and the Cook County Clerk-Elect- announced her Transition Committee leadership team and outlined priorities for her administration’s transition period, emphasizing transparency, inclusivity, efficiency, and election integrity.
As County Clerk, my administration will reflect the voices and needs of every Cook County resident,” Gordon said. “The talented individuals we’ve assembled will ensure that we deliver on that promise with a government that is transparent, inclusive, and produces results.”
The Honorary Co-Chairs of the Transition Committee are:
Speaker Emanuel "Chris" Welch
President Toni Preckwinkle
Senate President Don Harmon;
Deputy Majority Leader Lisa Hernandez
Assistant Majority Leader Marcus Evans;
Clerk-Elect Gordon also announced she has established several Transition Policy Committees that will be tasked with gathering public input, evaluating current operations and recommending policy solutions where needed.
“I am building a team to represent the diverse perspectives and talents of our County” said Gordon, adding that the specific committees and team members will be publicly announced within the next few days.
