Chicago, Ill. — Cubs Charities is thrilled to announce that registration for the 19th Annual Race to Wrigley 5K Charity Run is now open! The highly anticipated event will take place on Saturday, September 14, offering both in-person and virtual participation options for runners of all ages and abilities. On Saturday, September 14, at 8 a.m. CT, participants racing in person will start their journey through the picturesque Lakeview neighborhood, culminating with a unique opportunity to run on the warning track inside Wrigley Field. The race finishes just steps away from the iconic Wrigley Field Marquee, and runners will receive instant photos to commemorate their achievement.
For those unable to join in person, the virtual race option allows participants to run, jog, or walk 3.1 miles at their own pace and chosen location. This flexibility ensures that everyone can be part of the race, no matter where they are.
The registration fee for the in-person race is $39 for adults and $30 for children ages 10 and under. The virtual option is $45 for both adults and children. Please note that the in-person registration fee will increase to $45 on Friday, August 2. All participants, whether running in person or virtually, will receive a 2024 finisher's medal and an exclusive race shirt. In-person runners will have the option to enjoy one Budweiser, Bud Light or NÜTRL (if 21+) at the official post-race sponsored bars and restaurants (valid until 1 p.m. CT Saturday, September 14). Registration is open online until Friday, September 13, at noon CT.
Proceeds from the Race to Wrigley 5K Charity Run will support Cubs Charities' mission to mobilize the power of sport to champion youth, families and communities. Additionally, funds raised through personal fundraising efforts will benefit children and adolescents in need of behavioral health care services at Advocate Children's Hospital.
