Leaders Network Financial and Great Lakes Credit Union Open Permanent Branch in Austin Neighborhood of Chicago
Chicago, Ill. (April 24, 2024) – Leaders Network Financial, in partnership with Great Lakes Credit Union, opened its first full-service branch location at 5600 W. Madison in Chicago’s Austin neighborhood.
This new, full-service branch is the first credit union to open its doors in the Austin neighborhood on Chicago’s West Side, which has historically been a financial services desert.
“Today marks the opening of our 14th full-service banking center, however this opening is especially meaningful,” said Patrick Basler, Chief Experience Officer at Great Lakes Credit Union. “To partner with the Leaders Network to bring this grassroots effort to life and make financial services accessible to the residents and businesses of Austin is precisely why we do what we do.”
The new branch offers a full suite of consumer and business banking services, as well as the added benefit of local, knowledgeable experts to offer Austin residents financial counseling on topics including budgeting assistance, first-time homebuyer education, and more.
Great Lakes Credit Union and Leaders Network Financial announced plans to hold a Grand Opening Celebration on June 26, 2024. Residents are encouraged to visit their new community credit union today to learn more or visit glcu.org/leaders.
