Clerk Mariyana T. Spyropoulos Announces Re-Opening of the Self-Represented Litigant Center
The relocation of the SRL Center increases visibility and accessibility for residents
COOK COUNTY – Clerk Mariyana T. Spyropoulos today announced the relocation and re-opening of the Self-Represented Litigant (SRL) Center, a resource dedicated to assisting individuals navigating the court system without an attorney. The Center provides resources, guidance and support to help self-represented litigants understand and manage their legal matters more effectively.
The SRL Center, previously located in the pedway of 69 W. Washington, has moved to a more visible and accessible location in Room 602 of the Daley Center. The Center is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
“Whether you are dealing with family, civil or small claims matters, the SRL Center is here to help you navigate the legal process with confidence,” said Clerk Spyropoulos. “Moving the center to a more visible location will make it more accessible to Cook County residents.”
Two clerks will manage daily operations and assist with filing and e-filing cases. Appointments can be scheduled by calling (312)603-3530 and (312)603-3532, or by emailing srlcenter@cookcountycourt.com.
Self-Represented litigants make up the majority of individuals who visit Cook County courthouses.
In 2025, the Clerk’s Office assisted nearly 5,000 residents through the Self-Represented Litigant Center. Walk-ins are welcome.
