CHICAGO, IL – Mielle Cares, the charitable foundation founded by Mielle Organics’ Monique and Melvin Rodriguez, announces Match Mi Mindset — a charity pickleball tournament taking place Thursday, July 30, 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at The Sport House, 1301 E. 47th Street, Building 1, Chicago, IL 60653. All proceeds benefit Mielle Cares’ MiMental Mindset program, which supports the mental health and emotional well-being of teens and preteens across the country.
Pickleball has become one of the fastest-growing sports in the country, crossing generations, communities, and cultures — and Mielle Cares is bringing that energy to Chicago in a big way. Match Mi Mindset will feature celebrity players, corporate teams, and Chicago’s most beloved rival matchups going head-to-head on the court for a night of friendly competition, community, and fun.
The evening will open with a red carpet arrival experience, followed by tournament competition across multiple rounds, culminating in a championship match for the grand title. Throughout the night, guests can enjoy a VIP lounge, raffles, live entertainment, and a live DJ.
“Match Mi Mindset is more than a tournament — it’s a movement,” said Shonta Connelly, CEO of Mielle Cares. “Mental health matters, and we are committed to building spaces where community, culture, and healing come together. We are bringing this mission to Chicago and we are excited to hold court.”
Mielle Organics founders Monique and Melvin Rodriguez will be on hand to award the tournament champions, joined by celebrities and notables who will hold court alongside the Mielle Cares community. Their presence on the court is a testament to Mielle Cares’ mission — bringing its platform, its people, and its purpose to every community it touches.
Match Mi Mindset is open to players of all levels. The evening begins with a guided training session to get first-time players court-ready before competition begins, making the event welcoming for seasoned athletes and first-timers alike. Team registration is available for corporate groups, friend groups, and community organizations looking for a meaningful and memorable night out.
THE IMPACT
Every rally counts. Funds raised through Match Mi Mindset go directly to Mielle Cares’ MiMental Mindset program, which has already produced measurable results:
• 3x more participation than comparable after-school programs
• 200% increase in attendance compared to other programs
• 15% decrease in behavioral referrals
• 10% increase in overall school attendance
These numbers reflect after-school mental health programming at Thornton Township High School.
Match Mi Mindset takes place Thursday, July 30, 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at The Sport House, 1301 E. 47th Street, Building 1, Chicago, IL 60653. Tegister for teams or purchase spectator tickets at www.miellecares.org/match.
