CLERK GORDON PARTNERS WITH LINKS ORGANIZATION TO HEAR THE PLATFORMS OF TWO OF THE THREE CANDIDATES VYING FOR U.S. SENATE
(South Holland, Illinois)- Cook County Clerk Monica Gordon recently partnered with the Links organization to sponsor a candidates forum featuring two of the three candidates for the office of United States Senate representing Illinois.
Clerk Gordon saw fit to engage the women of the Links organization due to their continued steadfast efforts throughout Illinois in enhancing the lives of those in need and their collective concerns for women. Additionally, the Links have often used this platform to bring awareness to the issues that have challenged the poor, uninsured, and homeless populations.
“ It was an honor to partner with this historic group of women who have enhanced the upward mobility of women throughout Illinois and the nation. I want to applaud Lieutenant Governor Juliana Stratton and Congresswoman Robin Kelly for their involvement and willingness to listen carefully to the concerns of the residents, but also to answer the questions that have relevance in the lives of hundreds of thousands of people throughout our state.” says Clerk Gordon.
The forum was moderated by FOX News Chicago’s Tia Ewing.
Both candidates spoke passionately about the human rights violations being forced upon Americans by the Immigration Law Enforcement groups that have invaded urban communities throughout the nation. They also unveiled their plans to further protect citizens against the massive cuts in healthcare and social programs that have plagued millions of women and children in the United States.
The well-regarded candidates also expressed their plans to fight against the rising inflation that has crippled millions of families from every ethnic group. Many of the hundreds of citizens in attendance were extremely impressed by the vast knowledge of both candidates.
“I am grateful to Clerk Gordon and the Links organization for bringing this very necessary forum to our community. Both Lt. Governor Stratton and Congresswoman Kelly were well poised, articulate in their responses, and collectively concerned about not just responding to the questions from the moderator, but attentive to the concerns of the people in attendance.” says Blue Island resident Chyna Herring.
Tiashawn Ezell of Calumet City adds, “I am so impressed with Clerk Gordon’s commitment to bringing forth these matters to the southland. She has been nothing short of phenomenal in her determination to move beyond the scope of her office in delivering much needed information and subject matters directly to our neighborhoods.”
