Living Fresh Market Hosts Community Tailgating Event on Saturday to Kick Off Football Season
A celebration of school spirit, local sports, community pride, and exclusive savings, including the popular free 60‑second shopping spree
Living Fresh Market announced today that it will host a Community Tailgating Event on Saturday, August 29, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., welcoming football fans, families, student‑athletes, booster clubs, and sports organizations from across the region. The event will feature food sampling, exclusive in‑store deals, vendor showcases, and the store’s highly anticipated monthly free 60‑second shopping spree, where lucky participants race through the aisles to fill their carts at no cost.
Designed as a celebration of the upcoming football season, the event invites high school teams, college programs, athletic departments, booster clubs, and Chicago Bears fans — along with supporters of every team — to enjoy an afternoon of community engagement and tailgating excitement. Vendors will be on-site displaying coolers, chairs, tents, bags, and other top products ideal for school sporting events and fall activities. Booster clubs are encouraged to bring school apparel, spirit wear, and promotional items to showcase their programs.
Schools, athletic departments, and booster organizations are encouraged to contact Living Fresh Market directly to secure the best deals for team events, concessions, and school‑based activities throughout the season. Participants may also sign up through the Living Fresh Market website to join the loyalty program and be automatically entered into the Free 60-second shopping spree drawing. Registration will also be available on-site during the event.
“Living Fresh Market is committed to being more than a grocery store — we are a community anchor,” said Ms. Melody Winston, Senior Executive of Living Fresh Market. “This tailgating event is our way of celebrating the schools, families, athletes, and fans who bring so much energy and pride to our neighborhoods. We are honored to support local sports programs and booster clubs, and we look forward to building partnerships that strengthen our community all season long.”
Living Fresh Market continues to expand its community engagement efforts, partnering with local vendors, supporting school districts, and collaborating with area businesses to ensure the store remains the supermarket of choice for families across the region. Additional school‑focused events and community showcases will be announced in the coming weeks.
