CHICAGO - The Rainbow PUSH Coalition is hosting a community gathering and Day of Service in partnership with “Just Serve” a service of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at the legendary social justice organization’s Kenwood headquarters, located at 930 E. 50th Street. As part of this initiative, the two organizations will distribute 2,000 bags of food to families in need across Chicagoland, providing a crucial lifeline in these challenging times.

The day will commence with the weekly Saturday Morning Forum at the Rainbow PUSH Coalition's headquarters from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM. Following the forum, the community service event will run from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM, during which the food distribution will take place.

Rainbow PUSH Coalition officials emphasized the importance of this collaboration, stating, “We will never forget. We will never give up hope. And we will continue to fight for a nation—and a world—defined not by violence, but by peace.”
