Rainbow PUSH Coalition Urges Americans to Unite in Prayer, Solidarity, and Denouncement of Violence on the 24th Anniversary of the 9/11 Terrorist Attacks

CHICAGO – The Rainbow PUSH Coalition urgently calls on all Americans to join in prayer and solidarity, honoring the memory of those lost on 9/11 and standing resolute in the fight against violence.

September 11, 2001, was a day that forever changed the fabric of our nation. Today, on the 24th anniversary of that horrific day, the Rainbow PUSH Coalition stands in fervent prayer and unwavering support of families and communities across America. We remember the thousands of innocent lives lost and the heroes who emerged from the ashes with unparalleled bravery and sacrifice.

From the devastation of 9/11 to the present day, our nation has endured countless tragedies. We mourn the loss of leaders like former Minnesota House Speaker Melissa Hortman and her husband Mark Hortman, the wounding of State Senator John Hoffman and his wife Yvette Hoffman, the heartbreaking deaths of children in Colorado, and the assassination of Charlie Kirk. These senseless acts of violence have left indelible scars on our hearts. On this solemn anniversary, we must transform our collective grief into a powerful force for change.

Rainbow PUSH Officials declared, "The memory of 9/11 compels us to unite and harness the strength of our collective resolve. Today, more than ever, we must rise against violence in all its forms and strive for a society rooted in peace and justice."

"The violence we witness today is a stark reminder that our mission is far from complete," officials said. “We must recommit ourselves to the principles of nonviolence and justice, ensuring that every individual, regardless of their background, can live in a safe and equitable society. Together, we can forge a future where peace and justice prevail."
