Artists/Performer Bio (source-Wikipedia)

Boosie (formerly Lil' Boosie), is one of the most sought-after rappers in America. He began rapping in the 1990s as a member of the Southern hip-hop group “Concentration Camp.” He eventually pursued a solo career in 2000 with the release of his debut album Youngest of da Camp. After leaving the label the following year, he signed with Pimp C's Trill Entertainment to release his second studio album, For My Thugz (2002). One of the most prominent figures of Southern hip hop, Boose has gone on to release thirteen solo studio albums, as well as seven collaborative albums and 44 mixtapes.

The ever-popular group, Next, enjoyed immense popularity during the late 1990s and early 2000s. They are best known for their Billboard Hot 100 number-one hit single "Too Close". They are also known for "Wifey", "Butta Love" and "I Still Love You", all of which still receive frequent airplay on Urban Adult Contemporary radio stations in the U.S. and internationally.

Le’Andria Johnson is considered by many music observers as the most eccentric voice in the gospel music industry. She was the season three winner of the BET gospel singing competition show ,“Sunday’s Best.”

Johnson's Sunday Best coronation song, "I Shall Leap into My Destiny", co-written by Johnson, entered the Billboard Gospel chart at number 1. Johnson's post-Sunday Best recording The Awakening of Le'Andria Johnson was released in August 2011. The album debuted at number one on the U.S. Billboard Gospel Albums, number 3 on the U.S. Billboard Independent Albums, and number 24 on the Billboard 200. Johnsons' second major-label album The Awakening of Le'Andria Johnson, which included seven new songs, was released in February 2012. Johnson is the first Sunday Best contestant to receive a Grammy Award, which she won in 2012 for Best Gospel/Contemporary Christian Music Performance.

The organizers are excited to coordinate this important event and are encouraging businesses and institutional partners who have helped revitalize the area to join in the sponsorship of this historic event for the Englewood area.
