Community Comes Together to Promote Summer Safety and Early School Registration at Country Club Hills School District 160’s End-of-Year Event

As Memorial Day approaches, Country Club Hills School District 160 wrapped up its academic year with a vibrant and impactful event—the 2nd Annual End-of-Year Safe Summer Celebration—held last Thursday. The event served as both a festive farewell to the school year and a proactive outreach to ensure students and families are prepared for a safe and successful summer.

The celebration brought together community members for a lively carnival-style gathering filled with activities for children and adults alike. Attendees enjoyed delicious food, live music, and engaging entertainment, all in a safe environment that emphasized summer safety messages. The event also provided a crucial platform for early registration for the upcoming school year, resulting in nearly 100 students registering early—a testament to the community’s commitment to a smooth transition into the next academic year.

Beyond the fun and festivities, the event prioritized access to vital community resources, including mental health support, physical health services, and routine medical checkups. By integrating these services into the celebration, the district reinforced its dedication to the overall well-being of its students and families.

This successful event not only marked the conclusion of a remarkable school year but also laid the groundwork for a safe, healthy, and well-prepared summer for all. It exemplifies how community engagement and proactive planning can make a meaningful difference in the lives of students and their families.
