WORKING WITH OUR CORPORATE AND COMMUNITY PARTNERS

WORKING WITH OUR CORPORATE AND COMMUNITY PARTNERS

At the Alzheimer's Association, we believe that engaging diverse perspectives is critical to achieving health equity — meaning that all communities have a fair and just opportunity for early diagnosis and access to risk reduction and quality care. Historically marginalized communities are disproportionately impacted by Alzheimer’s and dementia, and yet are less likely to be diagnosed; less likely to be recruited to participate in research; and less likely to have access to care and support services. This is unacceptable and must change.

One approach we are taking in addressing health disparities that our communities are facing is through the development of strategic partnerships with trusted local organizations and groups to create a pathway to greater health equity, mission engagement and inclusion for everyone. We know that our mission to create a world without Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia will not happen alone and our local partnerships are essential stakeholders in the fight against this horrible disease.

Together, with our partners, we develop collaborative action plans which are organized by the organization’s leadership and our Alzheimer’s Association Illinois Chapter team which map out each area that the Alzheimer’s Association will serve the organization’s members. If you are interested in partnering with us, please reach out to Amelia Garza at amgarza@alz.org.

We are deeply appreciative of the organizations and groups who partner with us in the fight against Alzheimer’s and Dementia.
