Bally’s Chicago Casino Begins 2025 Giving with Breakthrough Urban Ministries, St. James Cathedral, Greater Chicago Food Depository and ChiGives Back
(CHICAGO, IL) – Bally’s Chicago Casino kicked off its 2025 community engagement and philanthropic efforts this month with a pantry restocking event on January 17, 2025, at Breakthrough Urban Ministries’ Fresh Market in Garfield Park. This day of service built on a standing partnership between Bally’s Chicago and St. James Cathedral, where casino employees are active participants in the church’s Food Service campaign.
Breakthrough Urban Ministries, Greater Chicago Food Depository and St. James Cathedral each will receive $1,500 donations from Bally’s Chicago, helping provide essential meals and support to those in need across the city.

“Community giving is at its most generous during the holiday season and we wanted to keep the momentum going and work with Breakthrough Urban Ministries, Greater Chicago Food Depository and St. James Cathedral to start the new year off right,” said Monica Scott, Vice President – Community Engagement at Bally’s Chicago. “The Bally’s Chicago team is proud to give back to our community through regular service events and directed philanthropy, and we look forward to deepening these efforts in 2025.”
Additionally, casino employees are participating in a newly launched charitable giving program, where employees can donate to a different charity each month in exchange for participation in engaging internal team member events. The charity that will benefit this month is ChiGives Back, a local nonprofit that works to make sure low-income communities have access to resources.
Bally’s Chicago Casino sponsored a number of community events and organizations in the past year, with a focus on driving local impact for the region’s diverse communities. The Chicago Urban League, the Latina Expo, the Midwest Asian Health Association, Black Women’s Expo and the Near North Unity Program are just a few of Bally’s Chicago’s partner organizations.
