MEMOIR FRAGRANCES AND THE BROOKLYN CIRCUS LAUNCH BAPTISTE, A FRAGRANCE HONORING CHICAGO'S LEGACY AND HAITIAN HERITAGE
NEW YORK, PRNewswire -- Memoir Fragrances and The Brooklyn Circus proudly unveil Baptiste, a new collaborative fragrance that celebrates the pioneering spirit of Chicago's founder, Jean Baptiste Point du Sable. With deep ties to both brands' histories—Memoir's Chicago roots and The Brooklyn Circus' Haitian heritage—Baptiste is a testament to vision, craftsmanship, and cultural legacy.
Launched nationally in New York City's SoHo district on March 13th, the event drew a packed audience of creatives, industry luminaries, and fragrance aficionados. Travaulya Wallace, a leading voice in the fragrance world, remarked, "The Brooklyn Circus x Memoir collaboration with Baptiste found its perfect stage on Canal Street, where fragrance became a bridge—connecting energy, fashion, and friendships in celebration of creativity."
Memoir Fragrances founder Terrance Pratt shared the inspiration behind the collaboration: "The Brooklyn Circus is a phenomenal brand with a clear point of view, a beautiful aesthetic, and quality craftsmanship. We wanted to honor that tradition through scent by developing something sophisticated, timeless, and undeniably beautiful. Notes of leather and suede pay homage to The Brooklyn Circus' iconic varsity jacket heritage while also nodding to Jean Baptiste Point du Sable's role as a fur trader and pioneer."
Ouigi Theodore, founder and creative director of The Brooklyn Circus, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership: "Baptiste is a narrative woven in scent, celebrating the spirit of discovery, resilience, and artistry that defines both our brands. Collaborating with Memoir Fragrances allowed us to translate our visual storytelling into an experience that pays homage to history while embracing modern elegance."
