Chicago — Bantu Entertainment is excited to announce that Amerie will be headlining the 7th Annual Bantu Fest, which will take place from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday-Sunday, July 29-30, at Midway Plaisance, located at 60th Street & Ellis Ave. Bantu Fest is Chicago's most anticipated multicultural Family Event of the Summer!
Soul Train Award-Winning, Grammy & Billboard Nominated Artist, Songwriter, Producer and Author, Amerie was born in Massachusetts and raised all over the world. Her two latest albums "4AM Mulholland" and "After 4AM" have been praised for their postmodern hip-hop/R&B innovation. She has collaborated with some of the biggest names in the music industry. Amerie's debut album "All I Have" was released in 2002 and peaked at number nine on the U.S. Billboard 200. Amerie has gone on to release multiple albums and feature on numerous songs.
She is the editor of the New York Times bestseller "Because You Love to Hate Me" and the founder of Amerie's Book Club, found on Instagram and Youtube. Amerie's Book Club highlights diverse and unique perspectives and voices to embrace and celebrate our differences.
