PERSONAL PAC ENDORSES THADDEUS JONES FOR RE-ELECTION FOR THE 29TH LEGISLATIVE DISTRICT
JONES RE-ENERGIZED FOR THE LATEST FIGHT TO PROTECT THE RIGHTS OF WOMEN
Thaddeus Jones- Illinois State Representative of the 29th Legislative District- is expressing his gratitude for recently receiving the endorsement of the Illinois Personal Pac. The announcement comes at a very challenging time as the right to protect women’s reproductive rights have been threatened by members of the United States Supreme Court.
“I am grateful, honored, and blessed by the Personal Pac endorsement. However, this is a devastating moment for our country, when lives are being threatened by a fringe minority determined to drag us back to the dangers of decades past. It’s also a call to action—that Illinois must continue to lead.” says Representative Jones.
In April a draft opinion leaked which indicated that the U.S. Supreme Court has voted to overturn Roe v. Wade and Planned Parenthood v. Casey. The news has sparked outrage and concern amongst millions of women who will now fight once again for their reproductive rights to be guarded and protected.
Representative Jones adds, “How dare a court of mostly older men tell millions of women that their own reproductive freedom and health is not a fundamental right. Abortion is health care. We must vote in record numbers to ultimately uphold that right.”
