WALKER SURPRISES THE YOUNG MAN WITH A NEW CAR
Early Walker-Founder of the I’m Telling, Don’t Shoot Organization- will be joined by Chicago Police Officials and other Chicago area activists as he will surprise a young hero who was credited in saving a man ‘s life as he appeared lifeless on a LIVE RAILROAD TRACK at the 59TH Street Red line station in Chicago.
On Monday, 20-year-old Anthony Perry had just exited the redline train at 59th street when he noticed an unconscious man who appeared lifeless on the live rail track. The victim ‘s hand was also pinned under the track. Perry without hesitation jumped carefully in a clear spot between live tracks and pulled the man off the tracks. At that point, with the instruction of an onlooker from the El platform, Perry administered CPR to the unconscious man. After several minutes of performing chest compressions, the victim immediately was revived. Shortly afterwards paramedics arrived and transported the victim to a nearby hospital where he is now expected to live.
For his efforts in saving the victim’s life, Early Walker has purchased a 2009 Audi A8 for Chicago’s new hero, Anthony Perry. Perry, who resides in Chicago’s Greater Grand Crossing community, travels daily over an hour to and from his job at Amazon Fresh located in Oak Lawn, Illinois. He travels on two CTA buses and a train daily.
“Anthony thought of the victim and not necessarily himself in this quick decision to save the victim’s life. He then took careful instructions to perform CPR and saved a person’s life who laid hopelessly on a live track.” says Early Walker.
Walker adds, “After hearing of his long commute to work, I felt compelled to purchase this car to ease the burden of his daily challenge of getting to work on time. He heroic action warranted me purchasing this car for him. Not too many people would have made the split-second decision to jump on a live track.”
Walker will surprise Perry in front of the Chicagoland media by having him meet at a local park near his grandfather’s home at 71st and King Drive in Chicago. It is there where a W&W tow truck owned by Ealy Walker will deliver the car to Perry. Mr. Perry HAS NOT been told of what the surprise is from Mr. Walker.
