The Village of Matteson is incredibly honored to welcome a new senior facility to meet the needs of residents right within the community. The new facility broke ground in the Village of Matteson as another addition to senior living. Lightways Hospice and Serious Illness Care are joining forces with Alexi Senior Living to bring a new facility to the senior residents of Matteson. After years of excellent planning and design, the 14- bed facility will provide exceptional care to hospice patients who are unable to manage their pain or symptoms at home comfortably.
“Hospice is about healing spiritually, physically, and spending the time with your loved ones,” says CEO of Lightways Mary Kay Sheehan.
The new facility comes as another great addition to Matteson as they recently opened Mustacchi Manor, which is just door steps away. Mustacchi Manor will provide another senior residence that houses a 16-unit apartment complex.
The Village Of Matteson's consistent stride to making elderly residents more comfortable is why many residents are exploring Matteson as their home. "The demand for quality senior
living is something we are proud to be able to meet. Our residents deserve quality facilities to send their loved ones and receive excellent care. If we live long enough and are fortunate to come to an incredible place like Alexi Senior Living & Lightways, we are lucky," says Mayor Sheila Chalmers- Currin.
Alexi Senior Living will offer first-class assisted living that is notable for memory care and bedside manner that will comfort those who have Dementia and Alzheimer's. The friendly facility will be located near I-80, I-57 and accessible off I-294.
The family-owned and operated business was founded in 1982 with the goal of caring for those needing guidance with long-term care. The hope is for the facility to be a great local asset to the Matteson community and for residents to see Hospice Care in a different way.
"When you have individuals that you love, you should have facilities close enough to access to cherish memories," says Mayor Sheila Chalmers- Currin.
