“SANTA CLAUS IS ON THE WAY!!”
Early Walker- President of “I’m Telling Don’t Shoot” and Jacksonville Jaguar/FLEX-N-Gate Owner Shahid Khan- along with Chicago Operation Cover Chicago Founder, Pastor Kenyatta Smith, Cook County Commissioner Stanley Moore and Flex-n-gate staff will come together and announce a major Christmas Toy Give Away to benefit the widely popular Operation Cover Chicago (OCC) Toy Drive.
“I’m honored, grateful and blessed for this partnership with Mr. Khan and FLEX-N-Gate. Pastor Smith of Operation Cover Chicago has made it clear to me of the enormous struggles of families impacted by COVID-19 this year. It is our mission to supply enough toys for hundreds of families within Chicago and beyond.” says Early Walker.
The low-income communities of Chicago will benefit from the generosity of Walker and Khan.
‘It has been difficult this year in meeting our annual goal of over 20,000 toys for these kids who are anxious for us to come through for them. We are well short of our goal and were concerned that we would potentially have to disappoint thousands of kids. But I’m so grateful to Mr. Walker and Flex-N-Gate for stepping up to assist in this 11th hour effort to bring smiles on every child that comes through our doors seeking Christmas toys and goods. This is truly the real diversity of America coming together.” Says OCC Founder, Kenyatta Smith.
Walker founded “I’m Telling Don’t Shoot” (ITDS) in 2021 with the goal of eliminating the unfortunate “Don’t Tell” scenario that has negatively impacted Chicago’s crime issue. Through ITDS Mr. Walker has been able to successfully assist the Chicago Police Department in offering reward monies to apprehend dangerous criminals from the streets of Chicago. In addition, weapons have been recovered along with outstanding tips that have also assisted the Chicago Police.
The duo will begin assembling toy donations from the employees of both the FLEX-N-GATE Company and W&W Towing over the next five days as well as a mass amount of purchased items from the owners. On December 23rd, a caravan of Reindeer dressed vehicles will enter various areas of Chicago to begin dropping loads of toys into areas selected by Commissioner Stanley Moore.
“What Mr. Walker and Mr. Khan are providing for my community is priceless. This goes beyond the regular standard of giving. It speaks to the hearts of gold in which these two business leaders have for the upward mobility of residents throughout Chicago. I’m forever grateful.” says Commissioner Moore.
Upon the toys being gathered, a caravan of vehicles organized by Mr. Walker will drop off the toys to the Operation Cover Chicago offices located at 9550 S. Harvard.
FLEX-N-Gate is a leading manufacturer and supplier of large stamped metal and welded components, assemblies, and plastic parts for the automotive industry. The company supplies a range of engineered mechanical assemblies, precision molded, painted and plastic components and lamp systems.
Mr. Khan is ranked amongst the richest Americans with an estimated worth of over 5 Billion dollars.
