Bloom Students Recognized for Work on Sticker Design
The City of Chicago Heights Clerk’s Office partnered with Bloom High School’s Art Department for the design of the annual vehicle sticker.
Bloom High School is located in Chicago Heights. This year’s contest focused on the importance of “Our Town’s Community Leaders and Helpers.” Clerk Lori Wilcox praised the students for their creative interpretations of the theme.
“Our youth did a fantastic job in celebrating our community service organizations,” Wilcox said. At a recent city council meeting, the finalists’ designs were on prominent display as the plaques were presented. The first place winner was Kalil Little, whose design appears on the 2016-2017 city vehicle stickers. Little’s design features the logos of four active Chicago Heights organizations: the Rotary Club, the Lions Club, the Kiwanis Club and Altrusa International. Javier Velazquez and Nicolas Lopez were also recognized for their designs, with respective second and third place awards.
