...PATCHY DENSE FOG OVER THE VIRGINIA PIEDMONT, INTERIOR
SOUTHEAST VIRGINIA, AND INTERIOR NORTHEAST NORTH CAROLINA EARLY
THIS MORNING...
Patchy dense fog has developed over much of the Virginia Piedmont,
interior southeast Virginia, and interior northeast North Carolina
early this morning. A few observation sites have reported 1/2-1
mile visibility. Not all locations will see fog, but in the
places it has formed, it could remain dense prior to and just
after sunrise.
Motorists should be alert for sudden changes in visibility due to
the areas of dense fog. Drive at reduced speeds...watch for
children at school bus stops...and use low beam headlights only.

Areas of dense fog continue to expand east across the Virginia
Piedmont towards the Chesapeake Bay early this morning.
Visibilities have lowered to one half mile or less in many
locations. The fog will continue for the next few hours before
burning off after 8 AM.
Motorists should be alert for sudden changes in visibility due to
the areas of dense fog. Drive at reduced speeds and use low beam
headlights only.
