AFTERNOON...
* WHAT...A mix of snow, sleet, and freezing rain. Snow and sleet
accumulations of one half inch or less are expected, except 1
to 3 inches in portions of the southern Shenandoah Valley and
nearby mountains. Ice accumulations up to one tenth of an inch
are expected.
* WHERE...Central Virginia and adjacent eastern West Virginia
including the Appalachians.
* WHEN...A mixture of snow, sleet, and freezing rain will continue
though the midday hours, eventually becoming all rain during
the afternoon.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The snow and ice will result in difficult
travel conditions. Be prepared for reduced visibilities at
times.
