    * Portions of southeast Maryland, northeast North Carolina, and
    Virginia, including the following areas, in southeast
    Maryland, Dorchester, Inland Worcester, Maryland Beaches,
    Somerset, and Wicomico. In northeast North Carolina, Camden,
    Chowan, Eastern Currituck, Gates, Pasquotank, Perquimans, and
    Western Currituck. In Virginia, Accomack, Charles City,
    Chesapeake, Eastern Essex, Eastern King William, Eastern King
    and Queen, Gloucester, Hampton/Poquoson, Isle of Wight, James
    City, Lancaster, Mathews, Middlesex, New Kent, Newport News,
    Norfolk/Portsmouth, Northampton, Northumberland, Richmond,
    Suffolk, Surry, Virginia Beach, Western Essex, Western King
    and Queen, Westmoreland, and York.
    * Until 8 AM EDT this morning
    * Heavy rain by late tonight. Storm total rainfall of 2 to 5
    inches with locally higher amounts is expected in the watch
    area.
    * This rainfall could produce flash flooding, particularly in
    areas of poor drainage and near creeks, streams, and ditches.
    Street flooding is likely.

    * Portions of northeast North Carolina and Virginia, including
    the following areas, in northeast North Carolina, Bertie,
    Hertford, and Northampton. In Virginia, Amelia, Brunswick,
    Caroline, Cumberland, Dinwiddie, Eastern Chesterfield
    (Including Col. Heights), Eastern Hanover, Eastern Henrico,
    Eastern Louisa, Fluvanna, Goochland, Greensville, Lunenburg,
    Mecklenburg, Nottoway, Powhatan, Prince Edward, Prince George,
    Southampton, Sussex, Western Chesterfield, Western Hanover,
    Western Henrico (Including the City of Richmond), Western King
    William, and Western Louisa.
    * Through Friday morning
    * Heavy rain will continue to overspread the region late this
    afternoon, continue through the evening, and end late tonight.
    Scattered thunderstorms will also be possible this evening.
    Storm total rainfall of 3 to 6 inches is expected in the watch
    area. Locally higher amounts are possible.
    * This rainfall could produce flash flooding, particularly in
    areas of poor drainage and near creeks, streams, and ditches.

    * Portions of Virginia and eastern West Virginia, including the
    following areas, in Virginia, Albemarle, Central Virginia Blue
    Ridge, Eastern Highland, Greene, Madison, Nelson, Northern
    Virginia Blue Ridge, Page, Rappahannock, Rockingham,
    Shenandoah, and Western Highland. In eastern West Virginia,
    Eastern Pendleton and Western Pendleton.
    * Until midnight EDT tonight
    * Additional showers are likely with scattered thunderstorms
    through this evening. Locally heavy rain is possible during
    this time.
    * Total rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are expected, with
    locally higher amounts in excess of 6 inches possible...
    especially over east facing slopes of higher terrain. This
    rain may result in rapid rises of water on creeks and streams
    as well as urban areas.
