    The City of Martinsville in south central Virginia...

    * Until 145 AM EDT
    * At 947 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to showers
    and thunderstorms moving in from the southwest. Heavy rains are
    expected to move into the Martinsville area between 10 and 11 PM.
    Rainfall amounts of one to as much as two inches are possible as
    this rain progresses more slowly northeastward. This will cause
    urban and small stream flooding in the Martinsville area.
    Overflowing poor drainage areas will result in minor flooding in
    the advisory area. Minor flooding is also possible in the outlying
    towns away from the City of Martinsville in Henry County.
