    Counties
    Heavy rainfall fell across the area Wednesday and Thursday as a result of Hurricane Michael. River levels are beginning to fall, but flooding will
    continue along the lower end of the New River.
    The Flood Warning continues for
    the New River At Glen Lyn.
    * until Saturday morning.
    * at 5 PM EDT Friday the stage was 16.0 feet...and falling.
    * Flood stage is 15.0 feet. Moderate flood stage is 16.0 feet.
    Major flood stage is 18.0 feet.
    * The river will continue to fall to below flood stage before
    midnight tonight.
    * Impact...at 15.0 feet...Low spots along route 649 (Lurich road)
    upstream from the gage are flooded.
    * Flood history...this crest compares to a previous crest of 15.6
    feet on Apr 25 2017.
