...PATCHY DENSE FOG OVER THE VIRGINIA PIEDMONT, INTERIOR
SOUTHEAST VIRGINIA, AND INTERIOR NORTHEAST NORTH CAROLINA EARLY
THIS MORNING...
Patchy dense fog has developed over much of the Virginia Piedmont,
interior southeast Virginia, and interior northeast North Carolina
early this morning. A few observation sites have reported 1/2-1
mile visibility. Not all locations will see fog, but in the
places it has formed, it could remain dense prior to and just
after sunrise.
Motorists should be alert for sudden changes in visibility due to
the areas of dense fog. Drive at reduced speeds...watch for
children at school bus stops...and use low beam headlights only.

...SATURATED GROUND MAY LEAD TO FALLING TREES THIS MORNING...
Heavy thunderstorms produced torrential rain over portions of
central and northern Virginia, the northwest suburbs of Washington
DC and the Baltimore metro area overnight. The saturated ground
may cause some trees to topple this morning. Please remain extra
alert for the possibility of trees coming down and blocking
roadways through the morning commute.
