...THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR NORTHEASTERN BUCKINGHAM
COUNTY HAS EXPIRED...
The storm which prompted the warning has weakened below severe
limits, and no longer poses an immediate threat to life or property.
Therefore, the warning has been allowed to expire.
However, a line of strong thunderstorms with torrential rainfall
continues to march slowly east across the county. The line extends
from Centenary, to Dillwyn, to Sheppards. Gusty winds, occasional
cloud-to-ground lightning and torrential rainfall can all be expected
with this line of thunderstorms.
When it is safe to do so, please send your reports of hail of any
size, as well as reports of any wind damage, including downed trees
or large limbs, to the National Weather Service by calling toll free
