OF THE LOW ROLLING PLAINS AND NORTHERN PERMIAN BASIN OF WEST
TEXAS WILL EXPIRE AT 9 AM CST /8 AM MST/...
.Light freezing rain and sleet are expected from the Marfa Plateau
east through Brewster and Terrell Counties this morning, though a
decreasing trend is expected. Precipitation has already tapered
off over the upper trans-Pecos, Davis Mountains and Pecos County.
Light ice accumulations have already occurred over parts of the
advisory area, making driving hazardous. Motorists should be
cautious in areas where roads have become icy, including near the
Interstate 10 and Interstate 20 split.
Though it remains quite cold across southeast New Mexico and
southwest Texas, with generally light winds and slowly climbing
temperatures this morning dangerously cold wind chills are no
longer expected. The Wind Chill Advisory will expire at 9 AM CST
/8 AM MST/. It will remain cold today, so dress warmly in multiple
layers of clothes if going outside.

* WHAT...Freezing rain, and at times sleet. The ice will result in
very slippery conditions on roads and bridges through the
morning. Additional light ice accumulations are expected.
* WHERE...Primarily Marfa Plateau, Brewster County and Terrell
County, though occasional light precipitation is possible
elsewhere in the advisory area. Roadways have already become
slick across parts of the advisory area.
* WHEN...Until noon CST today.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Wind chills will be in the single digits
this morning in some of these areas. In addition, icy
accumulations could form on sidewalks.
