TUESDAY FOR THE PERMIAN BASIN, TRANS PECOS, BIG BEND, AND
PORTIONS OF SOUTHEAST NEW MEXICO...
.A strong upper trough will begin to move over the region
tonight. Since there is a very moist atmosphere in place, showers
and thunderstorms which develop today and tonight will be capable
of producing heavy rainfall that may result in flash flooding.
Training of thunderstorms over the same areas could enhance
rainfall totals tonight. The heavy rain will move east tomorrow.

The Flash Flood Watch continues for
* Portions of southeast New Mexico and Texas, including the
following areas, in southeast New Mexico, Central Lea County,
Northern Lea County, and Southern Lea County. In Texas,
Andrews, Borden, Crane, Dawson, Ector, Gaines, Glasscock,
Howard, Martin, Midland, Mitchell, Pecos, Reagan, Scurry,
Terrell, Upton, and Winkler.
* Through Tuesday morning
* Heavy rainfall of 1 to 3 inches, and localized amounts near 4
inches, on top of already saturated soils could lead to flash
flooding of urban areas, streams, and other low lying areas.
