...Flash Flood Watch Extended For Coastal Southeast Texas...
.Reports indicate that 12-hour rainfall totals of 4 to 8 inches
are common across coastal southeast Texas today. And with another
1 to 2 inches likely from this afternoon through tonight and into
Tuesday morning, the Flash Flood Watch which was already in effect
for Jefferson and Orange Counties has been extended. Elsewhere,
showers and thunderstorms are expected to diminish in coverage
starting this evening, with additional accumulations not expected
to increase flash flooding potential.

The Flash Flood Watch continues for
* Portions of southwest Louisiana and southeast Texas, including
the following areas, in southwest Louisiana, Beauregard,
Calcasieu, East Cameron, Jefferson Davis, Vermilion, and West
Cameron. In southeast Texas, Hardin, Northern Jasper, Northern
Newton, Southern Jasper, Southern Newton, and Tyler.
* Until 7 PM CDT this evening
* Flash flooding will be possible through today in southwest
Louisiana and interior southeast Texas. Additional rainfall
totals of 1 to 2 inches with isolated higher amounts will be
possible.
* Low lying, poorly drained, and/or metro areas are the
locations where the greatest potential to see flooding issues
from these storms.
