    The National Weather Service in Amarillo has issued an Excessive
    Heat Warning, which is in effect from noon today to 8 PM CDT this
    evening.
    * Temperatures...Around 111 degrees.
    * Impacts...Children...the elderly and people with chronic
    ailments are usually the fist to suffer from the heat. The
    combination of hot temperatures and prolonged exposure to the
    heat or physical activity can lead to heat exhaustion or heat
    stroke.
