...HEAVY RAIN AND FLASH FLOODING POSSIBLE THROUGH MONDAY
MORNING...
.Another disturbance is expected to develop showers and
thunderstorms with locally heavy rainfall over the Rio Grande
Plains and I-35 corridor counties of South Central Texas. Highest
rain chances are for late tonight with isolated heavy rains of 3
to 5 inches possible. Rain chances and intensities are expected
to decrease after daybreak Monday.
...FLASH FLOOD WATCH NOW IN EFFECT THROUGH MONDAY MORNING...
The Flash Flood Watch is now in effect for
* A portion of south central Texas, including the following
areas, Atascosa, Bandera, Bastrop, Bexar, Blanco, Caldwell,
Comal, Dimmit, Frio, Guadalupe, Hays, Kendall, Kinney, Lee,
Maverick, Medina, Real, Travis, Uvalde, Williamson, Wilson,
and Zavala.
* Through Monday morning
* Moderate to heavy rain from abundant tropical moisture, a slow
moving frontal boundary across the Coastal Plains and an upper
level disturbance moving across the area tonight is expected to
affect the Rio Grande Plains and the Interstate 35 Corridor.
Additional new rainfall amounts of one half inch are possible
with isolated 3 to 5 inches through the period. Due to the
sensitivity of wet grounds over the area per recent episodes of
heavy rain, any shower activity could have an impact over those
locations resulting in minor flash flooding.
