  • ...First Significant Cold Front Of The Season To Move Through
Deep South Texas Monday Afternoon And Evening...
A strong Canadian cold front is poised to moved through the region
Monday afternoon through Monday evening. With the front, expect
widespread showers and thunderstorms. Minor flooding may be
possible Monday night, especially in areas that receive multiple
rounds of thunderstorms or locations with poor drainage networks.
An isolated strong thunderstorm or two may be possible with gusty
winds and small hail not out of the question.
In addition to the potential for heavy rainfall, temperatures will
sharply drop behind the front. In many cases as much as 30 degrees
in just a few hours. Additionally, gusty winds will accompany the
passage of the front. Expect gusty northerly winds up to around 30
to 35 miles per hour. It is urged to secure lightweight objects
such as trashcans, patio furniture, and outdoor holiday
decorations that may topple over or may be tossed during windy
    conditions.
