...High surf, minor coastal flooding, and dangerous rip currents
will continue to impact the lower Texas beaches this morning...
.The combination of higher than usual astronomical tides with the
last of swells that were generated by now-Tropical Storm Michael
will continue to produce beach overwash along portions of South
Padre through early this morning. Water levels currently near or
just into the dunes should begin to recede soon after daybreak
prior to low tide at 10:47 AM. Long-period swells will continue
to maintain dangerous surf and a high threat for rip currents that
is likely to continue through mid-day Thursday.
