.A stalled frontal boundary near the Texas coast, will combine
with ample tropical like moisture, and favorable upper level
conditions, to produce numerous showers and a few thunderstorms
with heavy rainfall through the morning hours, into early
afternoon. With antecedent conditions becoming more moist, the
heavy rainfall may lead to flash flooding, especially of low lying
and urban poor drainage areas.
...FLASH FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT THROUGH THIS AFTERNOON...
The National Weather Service in Lake Charles has issued a
* Flash Flood Watch for a portion of southeast Texas, including
the following areas, Hardin, Jefferson, and Orange.
* Through this afternoon
* Rainfall amounts area wide of 1 to 3 inches with locally 4 to 6
inches may cause flash flooding.
* Potential for flooding of low lying and urban poor drainage
areas, especially underpasses.
