.High pressure and dry air will allow daytime temperatures to
rise to around 105 degrees over much of the desert lowlands today
and Monday. Overnight low temperatures will range from 75 to
80 degrees in urban areas. This combination of hot days with a
lack nighttime cooling will increase the risk of heat related
illness through Monday night. By Tuesday, and for most of the rest
of the week, temperatures will fall back to near normal.

* TEMPERATURE...Afternoon highs of 103 to 106 degrees, with
overnight low temperatures of 75 to 80 degrees in urban areas.
* IMPACTS...Hot daytime temperatures with little overnight
cooling will put people and animals at greater risk to heat
related illnesses, especially if outside or in non-air
conditioned structures. The heat will also result in higher
demand for utilities such as electricity.
