.The combination of a tropical wave near the Rio Grande and
convergence near the coast will contribute to the development of
scattered to numerous showers and isolated thunderstorms, along
with heavy rainfall, over portions of South Texas this morning.
The combination of rainfall and saturated soils will maintain the
risk for flash flooding. However, the risk for flash flooding will
be confined to the Rio Grande Plains and Brush Country this
afternoon.

AFTERNOON...
The Flash Flood Watch is now in effect for
* A portion of south Texas, including the following areas, Bee,
Coastal Kleberg, Coastal Nueces, Coastal San Patricio, Inland
Kleberg, Inland Nueces, Inland San Patricio, Jim Wells,
Kleberg Islands, Live Oak, and Nueces Islands.
* Until 1 PM CDT this afternoon
* Tropical moisture will combine with moisture convergence and
contribute to scattered to numerous showers and isolated
thunderstorms this morning. Very saturated soils across the area
will allow for efficient runoff of new rainfall and pose a
continued risk for flash flooding. An additional 1 to 2 inches
with isolated 3 inches are possible this morning. Conditions are
expected to improve this afternoon.
