  • ...SNOW SHOWERS WILL CONTINUE THROUGH THE MORNING HOURS TODAY FOR
    SOUTHWEST VIRGINIA, NORTHEAST TENNESSEE, AND SMOKY MOUNTAINS...
    An upper level storm system will swing across the area this
    morning producing periods of snow showers. The greatest snowfall
    will occur across the higher elevations of southwest Virginia and
    northeast Tennessee, but only light accumulations are anticipated
    over the northeast Tennessee Valley.
    The snow showers will diminish to flurries by late morning before
    ending.

    MORNING...
    * WHAT...Snow showers. Total snow accumulations of up to 2
    inches, with localized amounts up to 4 inches across the higher
    elevations, are expected.
    * WHERE...Southwest Virginia, Northeast Tennessee Mountains, and
    Smoky Mountains.
    * WHEN...Until 11 AM EDT Wednesday.
    * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Plan on slippery road conditions, during
    the morning commute. Be prepared for reduced visibilities at
    times.
