FOR SOUTHEASTERN OVERTON...CUMBERLAND...SOUTHEASTERN PUTNAM AND
SOUTHWESTERN FENTRESS COUNTIES...
At 1255 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Monterey, or
13 miles northwest of Crossville, moving southeast at 30 mph.
HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable
tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes,
roofs, and outbuildings.
Locations impacted include...
Crossville, Fairfield Glade, Monterey, Crab Orchard, Pleasant Hill,
Cumberland Mountain State Park, Slate Springs and Lake Tansi.
This includes Interstate 40 between mile markers 299 and 339.
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 200 AM CDT for Middle
Tennessee.
