SEQUATCHIE AND MARION COUNTIES...
At 129 PM CDT, local law enforcement reported flash flooding in
parts of Marion and Sequatchie Counties. Up to 5 inches of rain have
fallen. Flash flooding is already occurring.
Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Dunlap, Jasper, South Pittsburg, Whitwell, Kimball, Monteagle,
Powells Crossroads, Orme, Martin Springs, Cartwright, Fiery Gizzard
State Park, Haletown (guild), Griffith Creek, Chimneys State Park,
Hicks Gap State Park, Lone Oak, Sequatchie Cave, Foster Falls State
Park, New Hope and Cagle.
Rainfall will continue across the area through the afternoon, and
even when the rain has slowed down it will take some time before
flooding waters recede.
