waters receding will take longer, so the Flood Watch will
continue in effect.

The Flood Watch continues for
* Portions of Southwest North Carolina and East Tennessee,
including the following areas, in Southwest North Carolina,
Cherokee and Clay. In East Tennessee, Anderson, Bledsoe,
Blount Smoky Mountains, Bradley, Campbell, Claiborne, Cocke
Smoky Mountains, East Polk, Grainger, Hamblen, Hamilton,
Jefferson, Knox, Loudon, Marion, McMinn, Meigs, Morgan, NW
Blount, North Sevier, Northwest Cocke, Northwest Monroe, Rhea,
Roane, Scott TN, Sequatchie, Sevier Smoky Mountains, Southeast
Monroe, Union, and West Polk.
* Until 7 PM EST /6 PM CST/ this evening
* The heavier rains have ended, but there is still a threat for
rising waters in some areas as runoff waters collect in streams
and possibly run across some roadways.
* Avoid low lying areas...and be careful when approaching highway
dips and underpasses. If you come to a closed or flooded
road...Turn around! Don`t drown! Allow additional time to
travel.
