...Heavy, Flood-Producing Rainfall in Middle Tennessee through
This Morning...
.Rainfall should come to an end from west to east by this
afternoon and evening, however heavy rain will remain possible
this morning. Additional rainfall amounts ranging from 1 inch
along the Kentucky state line to as much as 3 inches along the
Alabama state line are expected today. This could potentially lead
to localized flash flooding, especially in the south.
Grounds are already saturated from the near-record rainfall so
far this month, and with many area rivers, creeks and streams
already running high, river flooding is going to continue, even
after rain comes to an end today.

The Flood Watch continues for
* A portion of Middle Tennessee, including the following areas,
Bedford, Cannon, Cheatham, Clay, Coffee, Cumberland, Davidson,
De Kalb, Dickson, Fentress, Giles, Grundy, Hickman, Houston,
Humphreys, Jackson, Lawrence, Lewis, Macon, Marshall, Maury,
Montgomery, Overton, Perry, Pickett, Putnam, Robertson,
Rutherford, Smith, Stewart, Sumner, Trousdale, Van Buren,
Warren, Wayne, White, Williamson, and Wilson.
* Until noon CST today.
* Additional rainfall amounts ranging from 1 inch along the
Kentucky state line to as much as 3 inches along the Alabama
state line are expected today.
* Some flash flooding is possible, especially locations south of
the I-40 corridor. In addition, additional rises on area rivers,
creeks, and streams are expected throughout Middle Tennessee,
with several rivers reaching Flood Stage.
